A Day of Discovery and Delight at a New Midtown Market

Who doesn’t love a good market? I don’t think I was the only Midtown Atlanta resident eagerly awaiting the opening of Caravaca Market. The thought of being mere steps away from afternoon lattes makes me positively giddy. And there’s something about seeing the bistro tables and brightly colored flowers out front that makes me feel like I am living in a charming town in Provence. A girl can dream, right?

Midweek has got me thinking about casual Sunday afternoons, when I can slip on a comfortable sundress and spend an hour leisurely perusing the market. Special preserves, chocolates, and brittles line the shelves in the glass-windowed storefront. I mean, does fresh strawberry jam with rose petals say summer or what?

The cafe offers baked goods, sandwiches, and salads. There is even a shaded patio outside that is the perfect place to settle in with a good book. Here’s to looking forward to lazy market weekends as summer draws near.
